Portugal, An Experience - Wine2China Offline Matching Event丨FOOD2CHINA Expo
The Consulate General of Portugal in Guangzhou, AICEP Guangzhou, Guangdong (China) Food Importers Association, Wine2China, and Food2China organized “Portugal, an experience!”, a B2B event of promotion for Portuguese Wines, Foods, and Beverages on December 11th, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Guangzhou.
The aim of the event was to help Portuguese products to increase their business volume in P. R. China during the pandemic stage, as well as to help the local importers who are working this products in the market to expand their reach and develop more business within the Guangdong province.
This was achieved by a close cooperation between the organizers with local authorities such as the CICPC (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) of Guangzhou and counted with the presence of 20 corporations exhibiting Portuguese products such as: Quinta do Portal, Vieira de Castro, Delta Cafe, JC Coimbra, Lost Flavour, Enoport, Infinitae, Quinta da Marmeleira, Clean & Clean, Grupo Outeirinho, Reccua, Sivac, Porta 6, Quinta da Sequeira, and Super Bock, amongst others, as well as their representatives in Guangdong, Shanghai, and Dalian who were negotiating in name of those producers during the business match.
The event counted with the visit of nearly 400 representative guests, including but not limited to representatives from Rainbow Supermarkets, Eternal Asia, CITIC Group, and many others corporations all over the province who were delighted with the exhibited items. According to the follow-up made with exhibitors, at least 62 business transactions worth about 1.3 million rmb’s of sales are expected in the following days as a result from this event.
Representatives from from both the Foreign Affairs Office, and CICPT of other cities in the province also attended the event, and already approached the organizers with the intent to take it into their cities as well tightening the commercial relations and economic benefits between both countries as it’s was wished by Mr. Wolfgang Qi, president of IFA at his initial speech of opening of the event.
Mr. Dario Silva, co-founder and CEO of Wine2China also expressed his satisfaction with the results of this first event, and explains that is only by working together and sharing resources with activities like this that we can help business thrive and grow at this moment, he also demonstrated certainty that Wine2China will keep expanding with more Roadshows and Exhibitions always focusing on helping foreign producers and Chinese representatives to exponentially grow their business with the next roadshow already planned for Shenzhen on March of 2021.
